As a result, archival sources were analyzed, and historical data was collected on cultural heritage objects within the Zelenyi Hai archaeological complex within the 8th-13th centuries.
<sumDscr><dataKind>machine-readable text</dataKind><dataKind>archival photo</dataKind></sumDscr><notes>During the research, archival sources and archaeological materials related to the destroyed cultural heritage objects of the Zelenyi Hai archaeological complex of the 8th-13th centuries were collected and analyzed. Information from archaeological sources, available expedition materials, scientific publications, and cartographic and archival sources were identified and systematized. Particular attention was paid to revealing the functional aspects of fortifications and their use as temporary storage facilities and administrative centers. This allows for digitizing the historical context of the destroyed objects and becoming aware of their role in the further post-war development of the Sumy region, Ukraine. Archival documents were digitized, which included scanning, photographing, and converting printed materials into digital format. This allowed for the creation of electronic data for further processing within virtual 3D reconstruction. The analysis of the materials confirmed the significant role of the fortifications and settlements of the Sumy region in the defense system of the Middle Ages and the Modern Age. Overall, the research allows for identifying the development patterns of the studied architectural objects and their integration into the regional structure.</notes></stdyInfo><method><dataColl><sources/></dataColl><anlyInfo/></method><dataAccs><setAvail/><useStmt/></dataAccs><othrStdyMat/></stdyDscr><otherMat ID="f245" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/KFBVG0" level="datafile"><labl>Figure 1.png</labl><txt>This file contains a diagram of the Zelenyi Hai burial mound necropolis from 1659-1666, according to the Sumy Regional Department of Culture, Tourism, and Religions (Table 1, position 1).</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f246" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/STBZ1W" level="datafile"><labl>Figure 2.png</labl><txt>This file presents a location map of the Zelenyi Hai archaeological complex according to the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library (Table 1, position 11).</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f247" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/ECZZVQ" level="datafile"><labl>Figure 3.png</labl><txt>This file presents a plan of the archaeological complex near the Zeleniy Gai settlement (1 - mounds; 2 - boundaries of an unfortified settlement; 3 - fortified sites of the beginning of the 2nd millennium A.D.; 4 – fortified sites of the late 1st millennium A.D.), according to the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library (Table 1, position 8).</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f248" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/Y4BTGN" level="datafile"><labl>Figure 4.png</labl><txt>This file contains a plan of Yevhen Osadchyi for the Small settlement of Zelenyi Hai, according to the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library (Table 1, position 14).</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f249" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/Q2PVGB" level="datafile"><labl>Figure 5.png</labl><txt>This file presents a settlement near the village of Zelenyi Hai due to an archaeological expedition in 1984-1994 under the supervision of Viktor Pryimak, according to the Sumy Regional Universal Scientific Library (Table 1, position 7).</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">image/png</notes></otherMat><otherMat ID="f244" URI="https://doi.org/10.48788/DVUA/RJ6LHT/04WI36" level="datafile"><labl>Table 1.pdf</labl><txt>This table briefly describes different sources from which the data has been digitized.</txt><notes level="file" type="DATAVERSE:CONTENTTYPE" subject="Content/MIME Type">application/pdf</notes></otherMat></codeBook>
