Study Scope

Keywords:

Earth and Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Taguchi method, Design of Experiment (DOE), Wind speed, humidity, pressure

Abstract:

The dataset contains tabular data about factors and levels considered during Ansys FEM modeling of smoke flow under various meteorological conditions. The design of the experiment (DOE) was generated according to the Taguchi L9 (3^4) array. DOE varied four factors on three levels. The general plan contains a set of seven experiments, which correspond to seven temperatures in the range from -20 to +40 °C. Key factors were the number of smoke grenades, humidity (g/m^3), pressure (kPa) and wind speed (m/s).

Kind of Data:

tabular array

Notes:

The file contains a Taguchi array L9 (3^4) of nine experiments varying four factors. In particular, the number of smoke bombs, wind speed, absolute humidity, and atmospheric pressure at three different levels of values. Data on the median values of the levels of factors, particularly absolute humidity and atmospheric pressure, were obtained by approximating meteorological observation data collected by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center of the State Emergency Service for the Sumy region, from 2021 to 2023. The levels of wind speed values were determined according to the Beaufort scale.
