Abstract:

The dataset comprises data acquired via scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDAX). These study materials clearly capture the differences in morphology, nanostructure dimensions, surface topography, and local elemental distribution among the eight analyzed samples. Microrelief images and linear measurements were obtained using the standard software of the SEO-SEM Inspect S50-B microscope, and for X-ray diffraction elemental analysis (EDAX) - the AZtecOne software package (Oxford Instruments)

Kind of Data:

The folder contains graphic files of surface microrelief (SEM) and analytical reports of elemental composition (EDAX) with calculated mass/atomic fractions of elements. The data can be used for comparative analysis of biocompatible materials and assessment of the influence of hydroxyapatite genesis on its final nanostructural characteristics.

Notes:

During data processing in the PDPAnalysis program, the following was performed: - Approximation and background subtraction (background fitting). - Search for diffraction peaks, determination of their exact position and profile. - Identification of crystalline phases by comparison with the international Crystallography Open Database (COD).
