Ethylene glycol (EG) was used as the reaction medium. Zn(CH₃COO)₂·2H₂O and Mg(CH₃COO)₂·4H₂O salts, with a total amount of 0.01 mol and specified molar ratios, were placed in a three-necked flask, followed by the addition of EG. The mixture was heated to 180 °C under vigorous stirring and maintained at this temperature for 60 min. After cooling, the nanoparticles were separated by centrifugation, washed with isopropyl alcohol using ultrasonic treatment, and centrifuged again. As a result, Zn₁₋ₓMgₓO nanoparticle dispersions in isopropyl alcohol were obtained for x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6. For optical measurements, 4 mL of each dispersion was placed in a quartz cuvette with dimensions of 10 × 10 × 50 mm. The transmittance spectra of the dispersions were recorded using a SPECORD 210 Plus spectrophotometer over the wavelength range of 200–1200 nm. The measurement results were saved in .xlsx format using the corresponding software.</description></descriptions><geoLocations/><fundingReferences><fundingReference><funderName>Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine</funderName><awardNumber>0126U001202</awardNumber></fundingReference></fundingReferences></resource>
